And that's what it looks like when Calvin Johnson drops the football. According to Pro Football Focus, that's his ninth drop of the season -- but I can't imagine any were that glaring.
It was also a critical drop, as he was surely headed for a first down. Instead, the , who were marching for points on their second straight possession to open the game, were forced to punt, giving the defense a bit of a breather.
Aside from the playoff implications, this MNF game has a bit of added drama thanks to the trash talk rookie targeted at Johnson heading into the game. So far, Elam has been flagged for hitting Stafford late and Johnson has had that critical drop.
